Light Scope
Showcases the extraordinary light performance, revealing brilliance, fire, and scintillation compared to other solitaires in the market. While many diamonds may look similar to the naked eye, they perform very differently in light. This machine visually demonstrates that difference.
It evaluates the diamond across brilliance, fire, and scintillation, helping you clearly see how cut and clarity impact its beauty.
Clarity Viewer
Demonstrates the genuineness of the diamond’s quality and clarity grade as maintained at Tanishq, as per certificate
It allows you to actually see the inclusions inside a diamond, helping you understand clarity grades such as VVS, VS, and SI, and verify whether the stated grade is accurate.

Displays the Tanishq logo and the Unique Identification Number inscription, confirming brand authenticity and adherence to Tanishq’s traceability protocol

The Science Behind Every Tanishq Diamond
Established in 2002, with over 25 years of legacy, Tanishq has evaluated more than 100 million diamonds, making it India’s largest diamond sourcing retailer.
At the core is the Tanishq Gemmological Lab (TGL), the authority that certifies every diamond through a rigorous, end-to-end process, ensuring only 100% natural diamonds.
Backed by a team that includes 11 PhD holders, each diamond is assessed across the 4Cs along with advanced light performance parameters. Solitaire diamonds are further evaluated for Fire, Brilliance, and Scintillation.
With two decades of research and Titan’s Responsible Sourcing Framework established in 2020, all diamonds are responsibly sourced, conflict-free, and fully traceable.
Using advanced technologies such as spectrophotometry and Raman Spectroscopy across labs in Mumbai, Pantnagar, and Hosur, diamonds are verified at every stage. Every studded product is issued with a TGL Certificate of Authenticity, a mark of trust that is precise and verified.
Similarly, at Tanishq, every gemstone reflects a commitment to superior quality and authenticity. Gemstones are carefully sourced from renowned national and international hubs by experienced experts. With a diverse portfolio of over 40+ varieties, each gemstone is selected across a wide spectrum of colours and shades to enhance the uniqueness of every design.
Every gemstone undergoes rigorous validation for purity and authenticity using advanced testing technologies such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry, EDXRF, Laser Raman Spectroscopy, and UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometry.
These processes, combined with the expertise of gemstone specialists, ensure that all gemstones used are natural and of the highest quality.
A Legacy of Research and Precision
With a team that includes 11 PhD holders, Tanishq continues to study diamonds at a material level. Each stone is assessed across the 4Cs along with advanced light performance parameters wherever applicable.
Solitaire diamonds undergo additional evaluation for Fire, Brilliance, and Scintillation, ensuring superior light performance that enhances brilliance, prevents light leakage, and preserves the true sparkle of the diamond.
Diamonds are verified at every stage, from sourcing to final dispatch. Only 5 percent of diamonds meet Tanishq’s stringent selection criteria.
TGL leverages advanced technologies such as spectrophotometry and Raman Spectroscopy to detect synthetics, simulants, and treatments with precision.
Each tanishq diamond certificate reflects this multi-layered validation, making it a mark of uncompromised authenticity.
