We caught up with one such Rivaah bride, who has been associated with Tanishq ever since she was a little kid – to ask her what she loves about the brand and how it plays a beautiful yet sentimental role in her journey as a bride and how the brand helped her envision the perfect bridal jewellery set for her.
1. When and what was the first experience you had with Tanishq? Could you tell us a little bit about your feelings then and what were your first thoughts?
I was a little kid when I came into the Tanishq store for the first time. I was accompanying my mother who was on her way to the store to buy some daily wear jewellery. I got lured into the store via candies (like all kids are!) and funnily enough I then started thinking of Tanishq as a candyland of sorts – mainly because of the pieces coloured jewellery, like blues, greens, reds, pinks and how brightly they were all shining made me think that they’re all candy! I also remember insisting that my mother buy some diamonds because of how they glistened so much. I then really started enjoying
my visits to the Tanishq store. That’s about it – that’s my first memory with the store.
2. There are multiple jewellery retailers in Indore and the rest of India, what draws you toTanishq – and what made you ultimately pick Tanishq? What’s in there for you?
Ofcourse, there’s a lot of options, but it’s very difficult to find something for everyone under the same roof. We do have our family jewellers like from our previous generations, both my mom and my dad hail from Indore so they even do have familial connections with other jewellers – but in saying that i don’t find something for everyday wear, like daily use jewellery or something like for a party, something very extravagant, something art deco, something by the likes of bridal jewellery, something that makes me, my grandmother and my mother happy, all at one place. But we find all of it at Tanishq – so that’s Tanishq for me. When I’m here I don’t really have to think too much, I just have to
enter the floor and I will find what I am looking for. So that’s how I view Tanishq.
3. Can you let us in on an instance that made you believe that Tanishq would be the perfect place to bring home your bridal jewellery sets from?
Yes, sure. There was this one time where my Mom and I were trying to buy something for Pushya Nakshatra, because you have to buy some kind of gold jewellery, like a daily wear gold ring or something and we were at Tanishq – there were two pieces involved and we had to choose between them, one was slightly higher priced than the other. However, the sales associate realised that the one that was lower priced looked better on me, and that’s where their honesty shone through – that they asked me to pick the one with the lower price just because it suited me. You always get the right guidance, the right consultation and that’s why you can blindly trust the people around you, when you’re at Tanishq. The honesty and trust factor sets the brand apart. And this is something I cherish a lot.
4. Recently, we found out that you’re about to enter a new chapter in your life! We also heard that you chose to celebrate the most beautiful moment, the moment it rang true for your fiancé and you, with a little something from Tanishq! Could you tell us more about this stunning story?
Yes! I didn’t give it more than a millisecond of thought! I looked at a lot of solitaires and celeste pieces on the website and then knew that I had to bring my fiancé to the store. A really funny incident happened, when we came to the store together, he saw how much at ease I was in the store, and he was a bit stunned – only because I am an introvert! He literally told me that the Tanishq store is my happy place, that I’m so comfortable here,
how I was smiling the whole time I was there and how everyone knows me, and I know everyone. So that’s when I realized that this store is my comfort zone and, in some ways, I have grown up here. Which is why I’m also super excited for Tanishq to be my official wedding jeweller and that’s why I didn’t have to think twice before coming here for the engagement ring too – and won’t think twice before coming here for my bridal jewellery sets!
5. Picking your Bridal jewellery sets are supposed to be the most emotional, important as well as time-consuming task for the bride-to-be. How do you plan to get it right, and most importantly, find something that fits your bridal persona to the T?
To be honest, I’m not tensed about finding the right piece or the right bridal jewellery set, because over the years I’ve built such a great relationship with everyone around here that they have a fair idea of my likes and dislikes. So, across collections, I’m sure they’ll pick out five or six pieces and bring them to me saying ‘Ma’am this is very you!’. So once my outfits are picked, I just need to come in here, get some pictures, and all of my
jewellery shopping will be wrapped up in 30 minutes. That’s why I don’t need to stress about my bridal jewellery set shopping because I’m sure Tanishq is going to take all my woes away!
